Peyton Pennica's Introduction Blog

Hey everyone! I am Peyton Pennica, and I am from a small town in North Carolina called Mcgees Crossroads. I am currently stationed at Eielson AFB, about 30 minutes outside of Fairbanks, Alaska. In my free time, I enjoy the outdoors, whether that be fishing or hunting, you name it, you'll find me there! Also, I love sports! I was lucky enough to spend this summer playing for the Eielson baseball team. I am attending UAF to earn a bachelor's in Homeland Security & Emergency Management.

I'd say I have a pretty broad taste in music. My favorite genre is country, whether that be oldies or newer country. I also find myself listening to classic rock, folk, and many other genres. I will say I'm a sucker for storytelling songs. I feel like they bring out emotions in songs like no other! I used to play a little guitar when I was younger. However, I'm no good at it now. I would like to pick it back up at some point though! My favorite concert I went to was with my best friend back home on the day I came back from basic training and tech school to see Zach Bryan. It was by far the best live performance I've been to, and it was before he blew up and started selling out stadiums. I do enjoy going to venues and I do wish there were more around the area to attend!

Here are a few links to songs I enjoy!

  1. Live concerts can really create so much more excitement than recorded music - or they can seriously fall flat. I am glad you had a wonderful experience. I walked out on a live concert once. Wasn't worth my time.

  3. I love Zach Bryan. While I didn't list any of his music on my blog post I should have lol. I also wish there was more venues. It sucks that a lot of bigger artists the closest venue is usually Seattle.

  4. I'm also a big country fan. I bet seeing Zach before he blew up was unreal.

  5. I also love Zach Bryan. I was able to see him twice myself in Oklahoma and in Texas when I was on leave before he blew up as well. I would love to know what songs he played at your show.
